Today is the start of our summer-long agency “Summer Camp”! To kick things off, we are opening registration today for our Camp KSPR workshop, which is a one day camp where we will help college students who are interested in pursuing a career in PR. The day will be filled with professional development, goal-setting, resume workshopping, and lots of fun! Camp KSPR will be a day-long event on Friday, September 14th, starting at 9am! A decade of distinction indeed! This past winter, our client Carson Tahoe Health celebrated 10 years since the opening of their world-class Regional Medical Center and Medical Campus! And what a successful 10 years it has been! From the beginning, CTH was built on a firm foundation of community support and patient-centered care, which sparked the opening of the first 10-bed county hospital in 1949. As the region continued to grow, the medical staff and services became more diversified, until the day came in the early 2000s when the decision was made to build an 80-acre master-planned medical campus and state-of-the-art medical center. Embarking on the journey to expand the Medical Campus allowed CTH to lead the community into the next era of healthcare and technological advancements by bringing critical services to the region’s doorstep. Since opening the Regional Medical Center and Medical Campus in 2005, CTH has created premier open heart and endovascular surgery programs, developed a 5-Star Women’s and Children’s Center, and established a first-rate affiliation with the world-class University of Utah Health Care and Huntsman Cancer Institute to expand access to higher levels of care and expertise. As the second-largest employer in the community, CTH continues to be dedicated to ensuring the Northern Nevada region is a healthy place to live, work, and play. Ranked fifth most beautiful hospital in the nation by Soliant Health in 2014, Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center became the state’s first “Baby-Friendly” designated hospital in 2013. Recently, our client Fäsi Estate Winery won some amazing awards and we wanted to take a moment to acknowledge and congratulate them on all their success!! The awards received were from two of the most respected wine competitions in the international wine industry. Fäsi Estate Winery was extremely proud to take home the Gold medal for their 2013 FEW Malbec and a Silver medal for their 2014 FEW Torrontés at the 35th San Francisco International Wine Competition. Additionally, Fäsi Estate’s 2012 Fäsi Crest Syrah received an honorable Gold medal and “Best of Region” as well as a score of 94 points at the California State Fair! Wow! Congrats to Fäsi Estate! We’re so proud to be representing an amazing, hard working winery like you! We look forward to being part of your continued success!

Launching TODAY, this 21-day program/game encourages kids to make healthy eating choices! Rounded Plate was created by Rachel Pollard, a mother of three who simply wanted to create a fun way for her kids to make healthy eating choices, resulting in healthier, lifelong habits.   Rounded Plate was founded on the belief that building healthy habits in kids takes practice. Last month we got our groove, food and drink on… all while raising money for a great cause! Yep, that’s right- we are talking about Carson Tahoe HopeFest 2014! Our client, Carson Tahoe Health hosts HopeFest each year to raise money for the Carson Tahoe Cancer Resource Center. Money raised at the event provides critical support with no-cost lodging (for rural cancer patients in need) and assistance with things like gas money to get to treatment, insurance co-pays and life-saving medications. HopeFest 2014 had a RECORD TURNOUT! It all started when we, as in our entire office, were perusing some of our favorite fashion, family and “mommy” blogs. These blogs garner HUGE traffic numbers and subscribers, which make them an attractive target when pitching our clients’ products for reviews or giveaways and it’s been a successful strategy when increasing brand exposure on behalf of those we represent. Think about it, a third party endorsement from a trusted mom… how could you say no to that?! Well apparently the marketing team for Wendy’s thought about it, when they launched the “Sweet Made Sweeter” blogger outreach campaign. The concept is simple:  1. Find popular mom, style and family blogs. 2. Sponsor them to write a post about how the nostalgic Frosty and the new Frosty Waffle Cone helps you recall some of the sweet moments in your life. Oh and provide them with complimentary Frosty Waffle Cones. Oh and make sure they all take super stylish photos with their super cute children and wardrobes. 3. Hope that after their oh-so-dedicated readers see the post about said Frosty Waffle Cone, they will be inspired to (ok more like immediately CRAVE) a Frosty Waffle Cone and go buy one for themselves. Well, it worked on us. Don’t they look good?! Creamy frosty goodness! Sarah was experiencing some frosty difficulties.  And, the inevitable messy, sticky hand aftermath.  But back to the strategy folks…   We’re giving Wendy’s a huge (sticky) high five. Why?
